Schedule

Registration for tounaments can be found in our Shopville Console Gaming Area in Hall A. Tournament registration closes either once a tournament is full or after the first round has been completed in a tournament. All information will be subject to change, please contact gaming@animethon.org if you have any questions.

Smash Bros for WiiU 1vs1 has a  $10 entry fee and a money prize. All other tournaments are free to enter.

3:00pm-5:00pm Smash Bros for WiiU  1vs1 Wave B ($10 Entry) and Pokken Deluxe Tournament (Free)
5:30pm-6:30pm Smash Bros for WiiU Top 4

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Battle (Friday)

Put your Mario Kart battle skills to the test in our Mario Kart 8 Deluxe battle tournament. Free to enter. Item prize to win. 

Qualifiers
  • 32 Players max
  • Balloon Battle mode
  • Best of 4 rounds
  • Random stage
  • 3 minute rounds
  • 4 Players at a time
  • Not all Kart parts will be unlocked on every Switch setup
  • Switch Joy con controllers provide for each player 
  • Allowed to bring own controller of choice (some restrictions may apply)

Smash Bros for WiiU 1vs1 (Saturday)

Competitive 1vs1 Smash Bros for WiiU. $10 Entry fee with $100 starting money prize split for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place.  Half of the entry fee money goes towards increasing money prize. Maximum Money prizing: 1st place $140, 2nd place $80, 3rd place $20, 4th place $20.
  • 32 Players max
  • Double elimination
  • Best of 3 games, 6 minute rounds, 2 stock
  • No custom moves
  • No items
  • No Amiibos, No Mii Fighter
  • No Omega stages
  • Available Stages: Battlefield (Miiverse), Final Destination, Lylat Cruise, Smashville, Town & City, and Dream Land 64
  • Stage selection determined by stage striking process
  • Winning player is not locked into the same character for the next match, but has to pick before loser selects character
  • You may not choose a stage you have already won on unless mutually agreed to
  • You may not play on a stage that is not on the available stages list
  • Gamecube controllers, Wiimotes and Wiimote nunchucks provided
  • Use of gamepad not allowed
  • Allowed to bring own controller of choice (some restrictions may apply)

Arms Tournament (Saturday)

Prove your the best spring arm fighter around in our Nintendo Switch Arms tournament. Free to enter. Item prize to win. 
  • 16 players Max
  • Default Settings
  • Default gloves
  • Depending on number of signups will be wither best out of 3 games or best of 1 game
  • If best of 3 winning player is not locked into the same character for the next game, but has to pick before loser selects character
  • Switch Joy con controllers provide for each player 
  • Allowed to bring own controller of choice (some restrictions may apply)

Pokken Tournament Deluxe (Saturday)

Fight it out in this new way to experience pokemon battle in our Pokken Tournament. Free to enter. Item prize to win.

  • Team Battle Mode

  • Random Stage
