Panel Submissions

The following is an outline of the submission guidelines and rules for A Taste of Animethon Special Reunion 2022 (the event). Please read over all the details before submitting your panel.

Vaccination requirements for the event can be found on the Taste of Animethon Registration page.

Age Requirements & Identification

  • You must be 16 years of age or older, as of January 14, 2022
  • If hosting a MP-rated panel, you must be 18 years of age or older, as of January 14, 2022
  • Your legal first and surnames on your submission must match the identification you will use to verify yourself upon Panelist check-in
Acceptable Identification:
  • Government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport)
  • High school ID / Post-secondary ID (except MP rated panelists)


  • You may have ONE assistant panelist (co-panelist) to help run your panel. Your co-panelist must follow the above name and age rules. You are responsible for the accuracy of these details.
  • Should you require a change to your co-panelist, you must notify Animethon Panel Staff by email ( no later than January 7, 2022.

Submission Process

The deadline for panel submissions will be Sunday, December 12, 2021 at 11:59 PM MST.
  • A confirmation email will be sent to your email address provided on your submission. You are responsible for reviewing this email and ensuring the submission is accurate.
  • If any changes are required to your submission, please email Animethon Panel Staff before the panel submission deadline (
  • A panel submission does not guarantee your panel will be accepted.
  • An accepted, waitlisted or rejected email will be sent to you 10 days after the submission deadline.
  • Animethon has the right to change details of your submission to ensure the panel is accurately described to Taste of Animethon attendees. You will be notified if changes are made.


  • You must be available for the full duration of the availability block checked off on your submission, except for stated conflicts.
  • Panel time change requests contrary to your submitted availability will not be accepted without good reason.
  • Animethon will attempt to, but cannot guarantee your panel will be slotted in a room with the same preferences on your submission.
  • Please be on time to your panel. You are allowed to set up 15 minutes before the start time of your panel. You are allowed 15 minutes after the end of your panel to clean up.
  • If you are no longer able to run a panel, you must inform Animethon Panel Staff ( by email no later than December 31, 2021.

Panel Content

Panels are considered by order of submission, content, level of detail provided, and degree of engagement with the audience.

The following are absolutely NOT allowed in any panel:
  • Rearrangement of tables and chairs, or any other venue equipment.
  • Gifting or rewarding food and drink prizes, or any other edibles.
  • Showing explicit sexual content.

Panel Rating

Please indicate your target audience for your panel using the following:
  • AP: All ages
  • 14P: May contain coarse language, brief mature subject matter
  • MP: Not suitable for audiences under 18. May contain graphic violence, intense horror, or other disturbing content
Explicit sexual content (ie. intercourse) is not allowed at any time.


All panel rooms will have Windows-compatible audio and video (VGA) access. You are responsible for providing adaptors for any incompatible equipment. Please email Animethon Panel Staff if you need to check the compatibility of your equipment. Animethon will not provide laptops or internet connectivity.

Panelist Conduct

  • You must follow the above Panelist Guidelines and Rules.
  • You must also follow the Taste of Animethon General Policies.
  • Other conduct that will not be tolerated are:
    • Promoting discrimination.
    • Attacking the character or personal dignity of others.
    • Sale of or soliciting any products or services.
  • Failure to abide with proper panelist conduct may result in a ban from running future panels at any Animethon or ASAPA events.

A Taste of Animethon is back! This special reunion has been a long time coming, and we look forward to seeing all your creative panel submissions!

Appendix B – Acceptable Forms of Identification

  • Proof of Age - Valid government issued photo identification.
    Examples include Passport, Identification Card, or Driver License.
  • Proof of Identity - Valid government issued photo identification OR two pieces of identification providing one of them is government issued.
    Examples include Driver License, Birth Certificate with Credit Card, Health Care Card with School ID.
